PROSPECX MCP

Your pipeline now takes requests.

Search leads, check your pipeline, and draft outreach without leaving Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Spending points and messaging people are separate permissions you grant or withhold.

SETUP

Three steps. Then it’s live.

No integration project, no engineering ticket, and nothing to install. You approve it with the Prospecx login you already have.

Copy the connector URL

This is the whole address. There is no API key to create, nothing to install, and no file to find — your client discovers everything else from this one URL.

https://prospecx.in/api/mcp

Add the server

Pick your client below. Each one takes the same URL; only where you paste it differs.

Add it as a custom connector. Nothing to install, no file to edit.

VERIFIED · SHOWS CONNECTED
  1. 1Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. 2Choose "Add custom connector".
  3. 3Paste the connector URL above and confirm.
  4. 4Click Connect, then Approve on the Prospecx screen that opens.

There is no API key to paste and nothing to install. You approve the connection with your normal Prospecx login, and can revoke it any time from Settings.

Ask for what you want

No commands to memorise. Say what you need in plain language — the assistant reads the request and picks the right tools on its own.

“Find me 5 fresh leads hiring for React.”

“What's stuck in my pipeline this week?”

“Draft a follow-up to the lead I starred yesterday.”

First run

It opens by telling you where you stand.

Ask your first question and Prospecx answers with the workspace as it actually is — then suggests what to do about it. A workspace with leads in it is told who to call. An empty one is told to go find someone. Neither is a script.

BEYOND TOOL CALLS

Slash commands, attach menus, and the full reference.

Prompts and resources are what you actually see in the client, not just what it calls behind the scenes. Below that: every tool, documented in full — arguments, return shape, cost, and a real example.

SLASH COMMANDS · PROMPTS

Prospecx: daily standup

Reads today’s brief and the pipeline, then turns them into a short, prioritised plan — the single most important move, a few more worth making, and anything going cold.

ARGUMENTS

none

No arguments — run it each morning.

Prospecx: prep me for a call

A one-page brief before you dial: who they are, the post that put them on your radar quoted back to you, three grounded questions, and one risk to expect.

ARGUMENTS

lead — Name, company or id — it looks them up.

lead: "Asha, Acme"

Prospecx: draft an opener

Drafts a first message under 90 words, grounded in the specific post that surfaced the lead — never sent, only shown.

ARGUMENTS

lead — Name, company or id.

angle? — Optional slant, e.g. 'short and direct' or 'Hinglish'.

lead: "Rohan, Cedarline" · angle: "short and direct"

Prospecx: triage my leads

Ranks the open leads and says what to do with each — grouped into reply today, worth a look, and let it cool. Reads the post text rather than sorting by score, so it can say why, and flags anything whose follow-up is already overdue.

ARGUMENTS

none

No arguments — run it when the list has got away from you.

Prospecx: what moved

Signals from the leads you watch, ranked by how fresh and how specific they are — someone posting about the exact problem you solve beats someone who merely changed job title.

ARGUMENTS

none

No arguments — the first thing to run in the morning.

Prospecx: debrief my last call

Turns a finished call into what was agreed, what they hesitated on, and a next step with a date — then records it against the lead. Says so rather than inventing when no transcript exists.

ARGUMENTS

lead? — Name, company or id. Omit for the most recent meeting.

lead: "Aanya, Brightfold"

Prospecx: pipeline review

Which stage is clogged, which proposals were sent and never opened (a different problem from opened and ignored), what has gone quiet, and three moves for this week.

ARGUMENTS

none

No arguments — run it on a Monday.

Prospecx: go find people

Searches the leads you already have first — free, and often enough — then goes looking only if it has to, and ranks what came back by whether it is worth unlocking.

ARGUMENTS

need — What they should be posting about, e.g. "hiring a shopify developer".

count? — How many to look for. Each costs a point.

need: "needs a 3PL partner" · count: "10"

Prospecx: revive the cold ones

Leads that were active and went quiet, each with one specific reason to reopen that is not "just following up" — cross-checked against Radar, because someone who posted last week is a better bet than someone who has done nothing.

ARGUMENTS

none

No arguments.

Prospecx: prep me, I am calling in 5 minutes

Who they are, what they posted quoted back, anything you have already sent them, three questions that show you read it, and the objection most likely to come up — on one screen.

ARGUMENTS

lead — Name, company or id.

lead: "Vandini, Y5 Labs"

RETURNS

Workspace name and plan, lead counters, target profile, points balance and cost table, the granted permissions, and a short list of suggested requests. In Claude this renders as an interactive card.

TRY ASKING

"What can Prospecx do?" — or just your first Prospecx question.

The one rule

You decide what it may do. Then it does it.

Spending points and sending messages are their own permissions, off unless you grant them. Grant them and the assistant acts in a single step — it will tell you the cost or show you the message first, but nothing in the server forces it to. Withhold them and searching, briefing and drafting still work in full.

UNDOnone — choose the scope deliberately

Spending and sending are separate permissions. Withhold them and they are impossible, not merely discouraged.

Every connection is pinned to one workspace. Another workspace’s lead simply does not exist to it.

The amount charged always matches the amount calculated — it cannot drift between the two.

A lead whose contacts you have not bought cannot be emailed. There is no fallback address.

Disconnect takes effect instantly, mid‑conversation, from Settings → MCP.

You can switch confirmation back on per workspace if you would rather be asked every time.

All nine scopes

read:leadsread:pipelineread:insightsread:companywrite:noteswrite:statuswrite:listsspend:pointssend:outreach

Dashed scopes are never granted by default. A read-only key physically cannot spend a point or send a message.

WHEN SOMETHING’S OFF

The four things that actually go wrong.

Fixes, not a support queue.

Connected, but no tools show up

Restart the client after adding the server — most only scan for MCP servers on launch. Still empty after a restart? Check the client’s MCP or logs panel for a startup error from the process itself.

invalid_api_key

The key was revoked, mistyped, or copied with a trailing space or line break. Confirm it starts with px_live_ and matches exactly what Settings → API keys showed you — that value is only ever shown once.

insufficient_scope

Scopes are fixed at creation and can’t be edited afterwards. Mint a new key with the scope the tool needs, point your client at it, then revoke the old one.

Revoking a key

Settings → API keys → Revoke. Access disappears immediately — nothing else in the workspace is touched, and any request already in flight fails on its next call.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you connect it.

No. If you can copy and paste one block of text, you can set this up. After that you just talk to your assistant in plain language — it reads the request and picks the right tool on its own.

Your assistant is ready when you are.

Paste one URL, approve it with the login you already have, and start working your pipeline in conversation.
